Mary Lou Zich (nee Caron), 85, of Riverside, died June 11, 2012.

Born on Dec. 13, 1926 to Raymond J. and Claire L. Caron, she later married Joseph T. Zich, who survives his wife.

A graduate of DePaul University, Ms. Zich played with the Oak Park Symphony and taught piano to children in Oak Park, Elmhurst and Riverside. She also worked as a pastoral counselor. Family members said they would miss her lively, active wit, beautiful smile and delightful laugh.

She was the mother of Sherry (Martin) Bishop and Julie (Bradley) Duckett; the grandmother of Veronica (Yann) Renimel, Andrew (Madeline) Bishop, Joseph Duckett and Adam Duckett; the great-grandmother of Ivy Lou Bishop; and the sister of Patricia Caron, James (Maureen) Caron and the late Raymond (Patricia) Caron.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 15 from 3 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, June 16 from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home, 80 E. Burlington St. in Riverside. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 16 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church in Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
