Sylvia V. Bombick (nee Simak), 93, of Brookfield, died June 7, 2012 at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital.
Born in Black River Falls, Wis., on Dec. 21, 1918 to Frank and Mary Simak, she later married Frank L. Bombick, who preceded his wife in death.
She was the mother of Alan F. (Dianne) Bombick; the grandmother of Lauren (John Slump) Bombick and Michael Bombick; the great-grandmother of Jonathan Slump; the sister of Anne (the late Elmer) Sommer and the late Frank (the late Evelyn) Simak; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held June 12 at Hitzeman Funeral Home in Brookfield, followed by interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
