June Mildred Obracanik (nee Grubich), 81, of Crystal Lake and formerly of Brookfield, Stickney and Chicago, died June 10, 2012 at Centegra Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Chicago on Feb. 6, 1931 to James Grubich and Helen Miscevich, she later married Joseph Obracanik and raised three daughters.
Mr. Obracanik preceded his wife in death. Ms. Obracanik is survived by her children, Dawn Obracanik, Gayle Marie Obracanik, of LaGrange Park, and Melanie Robbin (Peter) Stefan; her siblings, Ann Petricig, George Grubich and Silvia Grubich; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held June 14 at Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago, followed by interment at Montrose Cemetery in Chicago.
