Raymond V. Hodum Jr., 68, of Brookfield, died May 8, 2012 at Hinsdale Hospital.
Mr. Hodum lived in Brookfield since 1965, and he worked for more than 30 years as a route representative for Breen’s Cleaners in LaGrange, retiring in 2011. He was also an avid CB radio user, known by his handle, “Seagull.”
He is survived by a sister, Barbara (Gary) Sasinka; his stepdaughter, Carol Hall; several nieces and nephews; and several step-grandchildren.
Mr. Hodum was preceded in death by his companion, Opel Munroe, on June 20, 2002.
Visitation will be on Sunday, July 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 3845-47 Prairie Ave. in Brookfield. A memorial service will be held immediately after the visitation, at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment is private.
