Was that insane or what? Thank you to everyone who supported the 2nd Annual Brookfield Chamber Insanity Run on Saturday, June 23. The race tripled in size, bringing more than 391 runners to our town to showcase our parks, businesses and friendly citizens.

Runners came from all over to run 3.7 miles and tackle six obstacles along the course. The event could not have happened without the support of so many people, including the Brookfield Chamber, the village of Brookfield, Brookfield police, fire and public works departments, Little League, Brookfield-North Riverside Water Commission, S.E. Gross School, Riverside-Brookfield High School and all the volunteers, including Brookfield Lions Club, Brook Park Running Club, Cub Scout Pack 90 and Sokol Spirit.

Many sponsors made the event possible, including Brookfield Zoo, Guinness, Irish Times and Runners Soul. It is our hope and plan to make this race a signature event in Brookfield and we look forward to everyone’s continued support, cooperation and enthusiasm.
