Through an article in the Landmark it came to my attention that Riverside president, Michael Gorman, attended a three day program hosted by the Illinois Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (“Riverside president ‘bosslifted’ to learn about Guard and Reserve,” People, July 11).
He was quoted as saying, “I have developed a clearer sense of the importance of employer support for the men and women in the Guard and Reserve.”
I am left wondering when he will develop a clear sense that he should not be requiring young active-duty soldiers, sailors and airmen who do not live in Riverside or drive their cars in Riverside to pay an annual fee for a Riverside car sticker.
