Gary Roy Overholt, 61, of Brandon, Fla., and formerly of Brookfield, died July 22, 2012.

Mr. Overholt grew up in Brookfield, attending St. Paul Lutheran School and graduating from Riverside-Brookfield High School in 1969. He also attended Edinboro (Penn.) College, and was a graduate of North Central College in Naperville.

He worked as an outside sales rep for 30 years and was working for Florida Seal and Rubber at the time of his death. Mr. Overholt moved to Brandon in 2009.

He was also an avid runner, having completed the Chicago Marathon in 2003 and many other road races through the years. He had a passion for music and travel, and he loved Florida and its beautiful waters.

Mr. Overholt is survived by his children, Nicole, Jack and Natalie; his parents, Roy and Audrey Overholt; his partner, Pam Dunn; his brothers, Ray (Pam), Tom (Julie) and David (Dale); his sister, Nancy (David) Nobile; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held in Brandon on July 25. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 18 from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a service, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 9035 Grant Ave. in Brookfield.
