As part of its search for a new superintendent, Riverside School District 96 is inviting residents to attend a public forum, which will be moderated by the district’s search firm in the auditorium of Hauser Junior High, 65 Woodside Road at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10.
In addition, the district is asking residents to fill out a superintendent profile survey, which can be found online under the “school board” tab of the district’s website, www.district96.org. The survey will be on the website through Sept. 14.
The purpose of both the forum and the survey is to give the search firm information on the qualities people feel the new D96 superintendent should have. That data, along with input the search firm receives from a series of focus group sessions with other district stakeholders, will be used to complete a leadership profile report that will be presented to the school board in early October.
The report will be used to evaluate potential candidates for the job. The school board hopes to hire a new superintendent by mid-December.
