Earlier this year Carol Spale of North Riverside was nominated as part of an outstanding group of candidates for the AARP’s most prestigious volunteer community service award, the Andrus Award, which is given to one individual or couple in the entire state.
AARP said the wide range of exceptional candidates made the selection both difficult and rewarding.
While Carol did not win the one and only award, the AARP stated, her nomination is a “clear recognition of remarkable service” and “impact on the lives of people” in her community.
In recognition of her nomination, the AARP sent Carol the Andrus Award nomination pin along with a very appreciative letter.
Everyone in North Riverside and other western suburbs who know Carol couldn’t agree more and lovingly congratulate her on recognition so very well deserved.
