Dorothy L. Hajek (nee Kuchler), 91, of Brookfield, died Sept. 11, 2012 at her home.
Born Jan. 13, 1921 in Chicago to James and Anna Kuchler, she later married Irvin J. Hajek, who preceded his wife in death. Ms. Hajek worked as a beautician.
Ms. Hajek was the mother of James (Ealine) Hajek; the grandmother of James Douglas (Jen) Hajek and Jaime E. Hajek; and the great-grandmother of Jesse James Hajek; the sister of the late Rose (Joseph) Vacha. She is also survived by her longtime friend and caregiver, Maria Misiaszek.
A funeral service was held Sept. 14 at Hitzeman Funeral Home in Brookfield, followed by interment at Chapel Hill Gardens South in Oak Lawn.
