Now that St. Barbara School at Prairie and Windemere is closed, it is time to do what is common sense and fix the flashing light at that intersection.

That light never stops. Why it is flashing 24 hours a day I will never know. The only time it will be needed is when services are held at the church.

Gross School also has a flashing light, and it is only used when needed. It is no big thing to program it to flash when needed or have a manual switch to turn it on. Someone was not thinking straight when that light was installed.

I also think the church should encourage its users to cross at the corner and not cross in the middle of the block from the parking lot to the church, especially at night. Do I have to remind you of the elderly couple that lost their lives a few years ago?
