Thomas J. Ludwick, 74, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died Sept. 7, 2012 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Ludwick worked for more than 30 years as a truck driver and mechanic at Jan’s Inc. in Summit, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local 705 and 701. He had lived in Brookfield since 1961, and he enjoyed fishing.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Ludwick (nee Kolinski), on May 17, 2006.

Mr. Ludwick was the father of Anna (Matt Brandenburg) Ludwick, Thomas Ludwick, John Ludwick, Joseph Ludwick and the late Diane Ludwick; the grandfather of Bryan Jadro, Jessimae Ludwick and Cody Ludwick; the great-grandfather of Remini Jadro and Brayden Jadro; and the friend and companion of Harriet Ryba.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 11 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Hillside.
