Barbara A. Dorolek (nee Jozwiak), 99, died on Oct. 4, 2012, 10 days short of her 100th birthday. Born on Oct. 14, 1912, she graduated from the University of Michigan. She was a nurse for the Town of Cicero, for the Public Health Department and School District 99 for 25 years, and then was the industrial nurse for 17 years at the General Motors Fisher Body plant in Willow Springs.
Barbara Dorolek is survived by her daughter, Barbara Currie; his step-son, Raymond J. Dorolek; and her niece, Carole Biela. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J.; her son-in-law, William Currie; and her daughters-in-law, Collen Dorolek and Dolores McCormick.
Visitation and service were held on Oct. 8, 2012 at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home in Riverside with a Funeral Mass at St. Odilo Church, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Additional information is available at 708-447-2261 and www.moravecek.com.
