Steve Kutska, 88, a former 50-year Brookfield resident, died at his North Riverside home on Oct. 3, 2012. Born on Feb. 24, 1924, he was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, the former maintenance supervisor of the U.S. Naval Ordnance plant in Forest Park, and a retired machinist at Stocker Hinge in Brookfield.

Steve Kutska is survived by his children, Kenneth (Rebecca) Kutska, Steven (Nancy) Kutska, and Karen (Tom) Bensfield; his grandchildren, Thomas Bensfield, Jennifer (Leo) Kotor, Robert and Rebecca Bensfield, Kenneth Kutska, Kimberly (Jon) Emigh, Kurtis (Jenna), and Kendall (Debra) Kutska; his great-grandchildren, MaKenna, Leo, Kenned, Adelyn, and Calliope; and his brother-in-law, William Exner. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Arlene (nee Jackson) Kutska; and his siblings, John Jr. (the late Mollie), Alex (the late Rose), Michael (the late Billie) Kutska, Elizabeth (the late Clarence) Tyk, Julia (the late John) Vash, Margaret (the late Kenneth) Long, and Rose Exner.

Visitation was held on Oct. 5 and the service on Oct. 7 at Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home in Westchester. Interment was private.
