Charles D. “Chuck” Dvorak, 84, of North Riverside and formerly of Berwyn, died Oct. 23, 2012.

Mr. Dvorak was born April 16, 1928 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a truck driver and as an employee of the Westchester School District. In addition, he was a member of the Berwyn VFW Post #2378 and enjoyed spending time with this grandchildren, gardening, food, using his iPad, playing solitaire and following the stock market.

He was the husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Dvorak (nee Gill) for 54 years; the father of Charles (Selene) Dvorak, Janet (Tom) Dorrance, Carol Dvorak, Elizabeth (Kevin) Lyne, Jeanne (Bruce) Nolden, James (Cindy) Dvorak and Patricia (Joseph) Carbonara; the grandfather of Thomas Dorrance, Daniel Dorrance, Jacob Dorrance, John Dorrance, Ben Dorrance, Nora Nolden, Katie Nolden, Allison Nolden, Maggie Nolden, Drew Dvorak, Lauren Dvorak, Jillian Carbonara, Annie Carbonara, Grace Carbonara, Erin Lyne, Ellie Lyne, Bobby Lyne, Michael Lyne, Tim Lyne, Sean Lyne and Patrick Lyne; the son of the late Charles and Nora (nee Cisar) Dvorak; the brother of the late Mildred Dvorak; the brother-in-law of LaVerne Gill; and was the cherished “Uncle Chuck” to many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 27 at Mater Christi Church in North Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
