It wasn’t always pretty but the Bulldogs (10-1, 3-0 Metro Suburban Conference) accomplished their goal of taking two road wins in league play last week.

Despite shooting an abysmal 12 of 50 from the floor and 15 for 29 at the charity stripe, RBHS bested Illiana Christian 40-33 (Dec. 6). Hannah Claywell (16 points), Brittney JnoBaptiste (10 points) and Janae Dabney (8 points, 15 rebounds) led RBHS.

The Bulldogs looked better in their 45-41 win over Timothy Christian, which won the Metro Suburban championship last season. Trailing by six points midway through the fourth quarter, RB rallied as Angela Comicho knocked down a clutch three-pointer to turn the momentum. Claywell scored 17 points and Dabney added 11 points.

RB visits Glenbard South on Tuesday (Dec. 11, 7 pm) in a key conference matchup before returning home for Thursday’s game against Ridgewood at 7 p.m.
