Zaccagnini (32-2) continued his dominant season-long run with a 16-1 tech fall victory over Nazareth freshman Blaine Bilek. Ochoa (8-2) claimed the crown at 138 by pinning Jack Bonaguro of Nazareth. Giurini (22-8) defeated St. Laurence’s William Tougy with a third-period pin.

Other top three finishers for RB included Justin Rodriguez (126, third), Joe Sandora (132, second), Zach Colvin (160, second), Nick Brusaw (195, third) and Lou Grigoletti (285, second).

Overall, the Bulldogs featured 12 grapplers in the championship round, with six apiece competing in in the third place and title matches.

Eight wrestlers advance to this weekend’s individual Rich East Sectional, while the team also moves on to the Class AA team sectional duals (Feb. 16) against Bowen, the Chicago Public League champion.
