Brookfield Independents look to future.
Brookfield independent candidates for village board, Michael Towner for Village President and Yvonne Prause for Village Trustee, are excited at the possibilities for the village. We believe in a board that actively plans for the future and holds staff and themselves accountable for the progress. We want an inclusive board that seeks out resident and staff input to set the goals of the village and works through how to meet those goals. We want to use our advisory boards and commissions to work on new ideas and solutions to achieve those.
We believe economic development throughout the village is a key to Brookfield’s future. We want to develop an economic development plan that involves our current businesses as well as court new business. We need to be proactive and find a way to help our current businesses. For the TIF district we need to elevate our village resources to be able to take advantage of the opportunities when they present themselves.
We want to develop an infrastructure plan that lets us know what streets and sewers need to be replaced next for the entire village. Have this online so everyone knows what is next in line to be completed when resources are
available.
We know Brookfield’s future can be great and we believe we are the right people to lead now.
