I am writing to show my support for the re-election of Mary Ellen Meindl, Lisa Gaynor and Jennifer Leimberer to the District 96 Board of Education.

I believe in the current board and the principles that guide them in their decision making process. This belief stems from interacting and observing these members both publicly and personally over the last 13 years as a Riverside resident.

Collectively, this group of board members has a long history of volunteerism. They have served PTO leadership positions, devoted time to coaching sports and leading scout troupes and chaired or aided PTO sponsored programs such as book fairs, cultural arts and fun fairs.

Members of this group have given their time to community projects such as taking care of the elderly, performing junior league and swim club activities. These programs and many more that I have failed to mention have benefited our children and our community.

I feel that the current board and the three members seeking re-election have made fair decisions when weighing the issues concerning the children of this district. They are parents, coaches and volunteers who may not agree on every item but have respect and dignity for each other.

In conclusion, I believe that Mary Ellen, Lisa and Jennifer have shown, by their years of community involvement and volunteerism, a vested interest in the continued educational improvement and well-being of our children.

Please support me in the re-election of Mary Ellen Meindl, Lisa Gaynor and Jennifer Leimberer to the District 96 school board.
