I am supporting Joe Wanner for the District 208 school board. I have worked with Joe for several years through PeopleCare, a nonprofit organization in town that provides transportation to seniors in the area. Joe doesn’t hesitate to get involved in his community, with PeopleCare, Little League baseball or any of the schools that his three children attend.
Riverside-Brookfield High School needs a board member like Joe, who has already shown that he is committed to providing a quality education to the students in our community. His work with the RB High School graduation requirement committee, the Riverside Elementary Education Foundation and even in the classroom as a room parent for years demonstrates that he has the time and the passion to work hard for our schools.
Joe represents an independent voice, harboring no agendas. He is willing to listen and work with all members of the school community. He understands that creating a climate of respect ensures that all the players are working together for the betterment of the whole. This path leads to quality education sustained by financial stability.
When that climate of respect disappears, erosion begins. Please join me in supporting Joe.
