The Annual Mission Dinner of Sts. Peter and Paul Lutheran Church in Riverside, located at the corner of 31st and DesPlaines (250 Woodside Road), will be held Sunday, April 28th, 12:00 noon at the church. The theme of the dinner this year is “Healer of Our Every Ill, Light of Each Tomorrow” and will benefit medical missionaries in Tanzania and the Juan Cobrda Good Samaritan Fund of the congregation. Ticket prices are as follows: adults– $10.00; children (ages 6-14 years old)–$5.00; children (age 5 and under)–no charge. Tickets will also be available at the door. The menu includes a roast pork dinner with mashed potatoes, sauerkraut, vegetable, salad, coffee and dessert.
Sunday liturgies are at 8:15 a.m. (Liturgy of the Word in Slovak) and 10:15 a.m. (Liturgy of Holy Communion in English). Education hour begins at 9:15 a.m. between services. Preschool registration for the 2013-14 school year is now in progress.
