If you are interested in becoming a mom by this mother’s day – at least to a furry friend – then come visit the Spring Adoption Fair being held from 11 am to 4 pm on Sunday, May 5th, at Frisky Dog Daycare in Brookfield, Il. This adoption fair allows potential adopters the opportunity to visit with many shelters and rescue organizations in one location, making it easier to find the perfect furry friend to add to the family.

This event isn’t just about the dogs – there also will be cats available for adoption. In addition, local veterinarians will be onsite to offer information about keeping current and future pets healthy.

“We’re excited to host this adoption event so that many rescue organizations can show off their available pets,” said Ross Rolando, Frisky Dog General Manager and co-owner. “We have something for dog lovers and cat lovers, as well as current pet owners who are interested in finding out more about their pets.”

This is the fourth adoption event that Frisky Dog has hosted. More than 35 dogs from various rescue organizations have found homes through previous events.

“We love happy endings and success stories,” Rolando explained. “And we love being a part of making them happen.”

Frisky Dog’s commitment to supporting adopted dogs doesn’t end when the event closes. Many of the puppies and dogs adopted through these events have returned to Frisky Dog for training classes, playcare and grooming.

“It’s our pleasure to help these adopted dogs and puppies become well-adjusted members of the family, whether it’s through training and play or teaching new owners how to properly groom their pet,” Rolando said. “It’s so rewarding to watch these dogs grow and know that they found their perfect home through an event that we hosted.”

The fair features dogs from many rescue organization including the Oak Park Animal Care League, South Suburban Humane Society, Rover Rescue, as well as cats from Sugar Kittens Cat Rescue. Local veterinarians in attendance will include VCA LaGrange and Green Paws Animal Hospital. For more information about this upcoming event, please call Frisky Dog at 708-290-1056 or email them at
