Teresa Boyd, 91, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died May 14, 2013 at Elmbrook Nursing Home in Elmhurst.
Ms. Boyd lived in Brookfield for 60 years, from 1952 to 2012, and was a sales representative for Avon for 10 years. For five years she was a volunteer at LaGrange Memorial Hospital, but her vocation was her family. She especially enjoyed dancing with her husband, John “Jack” Boyd, who preceded his wife in death on Dec. 10, 2002.
She was the mother of Gary (Joan) Boyd, Sandy (Jim) Boyd-Jensen, Sherry (John) Benz, Jan Boyd, the late Dennis Boyd and the late Brad Boyd, and the grandmother and great-grandmother of many.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m. at St. Barbara Church, 4008 Prairie Ave., Brookfield. Interment is at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
