At the Brookfield Public Library board’s biannual reorganization meeting on May 22, Jennifer Perry was selected to be the board’s new president.
Perry succeeds Dianne Duner, who has served as board president for the past four years. Duner was selected to be the board’s vice-president. Carol Kissane was named the head of the board’s finance committee.
Perry was elected to the library board two years ago, and she said she looks forward to celebrating the library’s 100th birthday by laying the ground work for its future.
“This summer’s scheduled demolition of the church building coupled with 2014’s centennial celebration of the library each pave the way for the library’s next 100 years,” Perry said. “I am grateful for this opportunity to serve, and I look forward to working with the community.”
