Dorothy Hamilton

At its spring tea the Riverside branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) honored Dorothy D. Hamilton of Riverside as its Named Gift Honoree. A $500 gift has been made in her name to the AAUW Educational Foundation.

Hamilton joined the branch in 2004 and has hosted many gatherings, especially holiday teas. She has served as branch secretary, on the calling tree and is the branch historian. She earned her B.S. and M.A. from the University of Illinois and was a teacher in Oak Park for more than 30 years at Whittier and Longfellow schools. She also was a volunteer in a children’s literature and art program at the North Riverside Public Library.
