Frank “Peaches” Hernandez, 60, of LaGrange Park and formerly of Brookfield, died June 13, 2013 at Adventist LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Hernandez was born in 1953 and grew up in Brookfield, where he lived until 1980. He owned a company called KMJ Industries Inc., founded in 1990. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing golf and coaching Little League. He also enjoyed playing pinochle, playing the guitar and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen E. Hernandez (nee Taken); his sons, Matthew (Torrey Filanc-Bowen) Hernandez and Keith Hernandez; his daughter, Jillian (Christopher) Marsh; his grandchildren, Mateo Hernandez, Henri Hernandez and Cloudia Hernandez; his brothers, Louis Hernandez, John Hernandez, Robert Hernandez and Arthur Hernandez; and his sisters, Carol Hernandez, Bette Mersereau, Margie Murray, Lucille Stewart, Vicki Suddreth, Sue Pederson, Nancy LaFrancis and Debra Matozzi.
A funeral Mass was celebrated June 17 at St. Francis Xavier Church in LaGrange.
Johnson Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
