Four Riverside kids showed up at school in late May in a police squad car. They weren’t in any trouble, though.
Ronnie Macchia won a raffle sponsored by the Central School PTO in November 2012 for a “Ride of a Lifetime” and chose his best friend, Alec Wilkowski to ride along to school with him — Alec’s little brother, Ben joined at the last moment.
Meanwhile, Blythe Park School student Anne Barlow got her ride to school from police courtesy of her mother, Carol, who won the item at an auction.
All were picked up at their homes and provided transportation by a Riverside police officer in a squad car, complete with lights and sirens.
