Lorraine Ascareggi (nee Carrara), 86, of North Riverside, died July 4, 2013.
Ms. Ascareggi was born in Cicero on Nov. 4, 1926. She worked for many years as a secretary for the Danly Machine Corporation and was a faithful member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Cicero.
She was the wife of the late Alphonse “Oscar” Ascareggi; the mother of Carol Hurlbut and Linda (Thomas) Kratochvil; the grandmother of Deenamarie (Jeff) Pawelski, James Hurlbut and Marisa (Brock) Flanigan; the great-grandmother of Noah Vincent Flanigan; the sister of Reno Carrara; and the aunt and great-aunt of many.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 10 and on Thursday, July 11 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Kuratko-Nosek Funeral Home, 2447 Desplaines Ave. in North Riverside. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 1937 S. 50th Ave. in Cicero, followed by entombment at Woodlaw
