Rita M. Dow (nee Toner), 84, of Riverside, died July 3, 2013 with her family by her side.
Ms. Dow was born in Chicago on June 25, 1929 to Elmer “Pete” and Frances Toner. In August 1948 she married Lawrence K. Dow at St. Carthage Church in Chicago. Mr. Dow preceded his wife in death.
She was the mother of Eileen Dow (the late Robert) Sarocco, James E. Dow, Margaret (the late Gary Malmgren) Dow, Lawrence A. (Patti) Dow and the late Mary Elizabeth Dow; the grandmother of 13; the great-grandmother of 12; the sister of Patricia M. Hughes; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, July 12 from 3 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 13 from 9 until the time of a 10 a.m. service at Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home, 80 E. Burlington St. in Riverside.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated on July 13 at 11 a.m. at St. James at Sag Bridge Church in Lemont, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
