We would like to take this opportunity to thank this wonderful community that we live in for the awe inspiring amount of love, kindness and support that has been showered upon us following the sudden passing of Tony Garvey.

Tony was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend, etc. His death shocked and hurt us all. However, from the moment it happened we have been the recipients of uncountable acts of compassion, kindness and generosity. We have been comforted so much by everyone and everything.

From the first responders who showed incredible professionalism and care, at a time they were dealing with the loss of a colleague and friend, to the awesome display of honor and respect at the wake and funeral, the entire law enforcement community eased our pain. We especially want to thank the Brookfield police and fire departments. We will never forget your service and compassion.

To everyone who dropped off food, helped with the funeral, stood in the incredibly long line at the wake, called, stopped by, sent cards or simply offered a hug or a sympathetic glance, we thank you all. Each of us gained strength and comfort from every act of kindness and compassion.

While facing the most difficult time of our lives, we were blessed. We live in a wonderful village and community. Our family will always remember how we were comforted by everyone around us at this difficult time and as we go forward. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sandy, Kevin and Karen and the entire Garvey family
