This past week our son, Donny Strysick, returned home on leave after serving his tour of duty in Afghanistan. With the help of so many special people, especially John Cisneros and the Brookfield Police Department, Pat Lenzi and all the wonderful men of the Brookfield Fire Department, Jules and all the riders of the Brookfield V.F.W, Tom Cimbalista and Tim Andries of the LaGrange Police Department, the Brookfield Village Board, Ms. Kennedy and Ms. Bylsma from Riverside-Brookfield High School, Mr. Baum and the outstanding RB Band, Sue Gursh and the Hollywood PTA and the spectacular Bill O’Reilly and the Warrior Riders, we put together a parade to show our love, gratitude and support for Donny.
We so appreciate our fabulous neighbors who really started the ball rolling and without whom we could not have put this together. Thank you to Tim Heilenbach and Rasa Plioplys, Tom and Kathi Krankoski, Olga and Dave Andrulis, the O’Keefe family, Kate Smith, the Galbraith family, Leah and Noel Harazin, Mrs. Remolt, Mrs. Cimbalista, Tom and Patti Clodfelter and all the great neighbors, friends, family and our “Hollywood family” that came out to line the parade route with posters, flags, thank yous and well wishes.
We truly live in the best town ever and love you all. Thank you again and please continue to keep Donny in your prayers as he still has a few more years to go.
Kelly Masek, Bob Masek-Mavis and Don Strysick Sr.
