Nicholas F. Maviano (Mavigliano), 78, a longtime resident of Riverside, died Sept. 13, 2013 at his home.

Mr. Maviano graduated from Fenwick High School in 1952 and the University of Notre Dame in 1956. For 33 years he owned the Farm City Supermarket in Berwyn.

A resident of Riverside for 43 years, Mr. Maviano served on the Riverside District 96 school board. He also loved photography, gardening, art and traveling the world.

He was the husband of Suzanne Maviano (nee Di Domenico); the father of Nicholas (Robert Malenchini) Maviano and Steve Maviano; the brother of Jean Conley; and the brother-in-law of Diane (the late Robert) Magnuson.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Sept. 16 at St. Mary Church in Riverside, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
