The Chicago Mustangs host the Chicago Thunder in a second round divisional playoff game of the MSFL Eastern semi-pro football playoffs at Riverside-Brookfield High School on Saturday (7 p.m.).  The Mustangs (7-1) and Thunder (7-2) are the top two teams in the Southeast Division of the MSFL.

Established in 2009, the Mustangs feature an eclectic roster of former area college and high school players with a decidedly local flavor including former Riverside-Brookfield High School quarterback Dave Skowronski and former Lyons Township High School players running back Deonte Brown and offensive lineman Noah Washington. Assistant line coach Tim Somerfield is also an LTHS grad. A contingent of former players and coaches from Morton High are also on the roster including: defensive back/wide receiver Jerome Scott, linebacker/special teams Khalid Mayes, along with coaches Dan Kohut and Juan Rodriguez.

The Mustangs’ owner/head coach is Eddie Chapp, whose son, Matt, is on the RBHS varsity football and track teams.
