Elsie D. Thomas Yauk, 91, of Brookfield and formerly of Lisle, died Nov. 15, 2013.
Born on Aug. 23, 1922, Ms. Thomas Yauk served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She worked as a government adjudicator.
She was the mother of Janet Szuta, Cary Yauk, Kenneth (Carolyn) York and the late Curtis Yauk; the mother-in-law of Mike Szuta; the grandmother of Jaclyn (Michael) Milligan and Kyle Szuta; the sister if five brothers; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services have been held. Interment was at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery in Chicago.
