John D. “Jack” Hayes, 78, of Brookfield, died Jan. 3, 2014.
Mr. Hayes was born July 17, 1935 and served in the U.S. Army. He worked as a truck driver for a company in the food industry.
He was the husband of Donna Hayes (nee Ondris) and the late Charlotte Hayes (nee Erickson); the father of Kimberly Hayes and Kathleen (Theodore) Schwitzner; the grandfather of Erick (Angelica) Hayes, Jack Hayes and Renee Schwitzner; the brother of Patricia (the late Richard) Nerad and Susan (Paul) Greth; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Cornerstone Community Church, 9008 Fairview Ave., Brookfield, followed by internment at Bronswood Cemetery in Oak Brook.
