Joseph S. Kozak, 65, a Brookfield resident since 1992, died Jan. 3, 2014 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Kozak worked for 37 years as a carman for the Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Railroad in Cicero prior to retiring in July 2011. He was a member of the United Transportation Union and was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Paulette A. Kozak (nee Latal) in October 2009.
Mr. Kozak is survived by his daughters, Diona Kozak and Nicole Kozak; his stepson, Sean Latal; his granddaughter, Isabelle Latal; and his sisters, Barbara and Sylvia.
Services have been held.
Johnson Funeral Home, Brookfield, handled arrangements.
