Sarah Elizabeth Costello (nee Pierce), 90, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died Jan. 6, 2014.
Ms. Costello was born in Lewistown, Mont., on Nov. 7, 1923 to Phillip and Elizabeth Pierce. She married Ben Costello, who preceded his wife in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Amy Forsythe; and her brothers, Byron Pierce and James Pierce.
She is survived by her children, Sally (Ron) Beckman, Wendy (Franz) Herder, Linda (the late Tom) Kampschroeder, Ben (Kim) Costello Jr., Jeanne (Steve) Eichholz, Joseph (Margaret) Costello and Dan (Tricia) Costello; her son-in-law, Paul (the late Amy) Forsythe; her grandchildren, Michael (Lilith) Mensi, David (Amy) Mensi, Beth (Tony) Fabiano, Nancy (John) Madden, Katy (Tom) Moore, Tim Kampschroeder, Jill (Dan) Kaspar, Molly (Tom) Renshaw, Jenni (Ken) Holcomb, Sarah (Victor) Hinojosa, Jeff Eichholz, Seamus Costello, Kelly Costello, Benjamin Forsythe, Veronica Forsythe, James Forsythe, Mia Forsythe and Matthew Costello; and her great-grandchildren, Leigh Mensi, Ben Mensi, Joseph Fabiano, Madeline Fabiano, Evan Madden, Tommy Moore, Gracie Moore, Leslie Moore, Joseph Kampschroeder, Samuel Kaspar, Kylie Holcomb, Lorena Hinojosa, Amanda Hinojosa and Noah Hinojosa.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 11 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Mount Auburn Memorial Park in Stickney.
