Classic Cinemas celebrated its five-year anniversary as operators of the movie theaters at North Riverside Park Mall in December with a celebration and “big ticket tear” ceremony. The program featured the Riverside-Brookfield High School Madrigal Singers performing holiday classics and remarks by local officials. Participating in the big ticket tear were (from left) Classic Cinemas co-founder Shirley Johnson, North Riverside Police Commander Christian Ehrenberg, Classic Cinemas co-founder Willis Johnson, North Riverside Mayor Hubert Hermanek Jr., Village Trustee Deborah Czajka and Classic Cinemas VP/Operations Chris Johnson.
