One of the key issues the Landmark has been covering over the course of the District 96 school year has been the issue of technology. As reported on these pages, District 96 has some upcoming decisions to make, or not make, regarding our technology infrastructure.

Our decisions in the upcoming months will focus on this question: What kind of infrastructure will School District 96 need to support students, faculty, staff and curriculum? We face many issues and concerns on how to answer this question.

Your elected members of the D96 school board invite you to share your input and ideas regarding technology. Please join us on Tuesday, Feb. 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hauser Junior High Learning Resource Center, 65 Woodside Road, for our technology forum. 

This will be an interactive forum and discussion between the general public, teachers, staff, board members and administration. Topics will include current internet speed and connection, servers and back-up situation, help desk implementation and current email setup and needs. If time permits, we will open the forum to other technology issues facing the district.
