Elizabeth Frances Wilson (nee Albrecht), 83, died Jan. 24, 2014 in Venice, Fla., following a battle against ovarian cancer.
Ms. Wilson was born Oct. 4, 1930 in Coal City. She graduated from Riverside-Brookfield high School in 1948 and married classmate Donald Wilson on Jan. 27, 1950. The couple moved from Illinois to Michigan in 1962 and many of her fondest memories were of the times they spent at their lakefront cottage on Lake Huron before retiring to Vince in 1998. Mr. Wilson preceded his wife in death.
She enjoyed traveling, golf, bowling, music and current events. She was an accomplished cook, an avid dog lover and had a passion for Michigan State University sports. Ms. Wilson also had been very active in the Red Hat Society as well as numerous investment and social clubs.
Ms. Wilson is survived by her children, Kimberlie (Royal) Dusenbery of Vermontville, Mich., Scott (Janice) Wilson of Vacaville, Calif., Janice (Tom) Berger of Tucson, Ariz., and Nathalie (John) Boettcher of Mt. Clemens, Mich. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
The family will have a private memorial to celebrate Ms. Wilson’s life. Anyone wishing to offer an expression of sympathy may consider a donation to the Tidewell Hospice House in Venice, Fla., or the American Cancer Society.
