On Tuesday, Feb. 18 there was a fire in the 4100 block of Sunnyside Avenue in Brookfield (“Fire guts Brookfield home,” News, Feb. 26), and due to the narrowness of the street, the fire trucks had to park on Ogden Avenue and Sunnyside Avenue.
As we all know, Ogden is a busy street. Another emergency vehicle was coming down the 4200 block of Sunnyside and hit a parked vehicle.
The parking in Brookfield needs to be taken care of. The Brookfield Village Board needs to do something about the street parking and they need to do something now, whether people agree or disagree.
