William G. Liepe, 85, of Brookfield, died Feb. 26, 2014.
Mr. Liepe was born March 26, 1928 and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following his time in the service, he worked as an optician.
He was the husband of Joan M. Liepe (nee Eskey); the father of Steven (Donna) Liepe, John (Francesca) Liepe, Catherine (Kent) Maas and Kimberly (Richard) Mucha; the grandfather of Kaitlin (Kyle) Krebs, Kevin Liepe, Michael Liepe, Adam Mucha, Alexander Mucha and Anastasia Mucha; and the uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 1 at St. Louise de Marillac Church in LaGrange Park, followed by interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
