Blanche Marie Kassel (nee Kobzina), 89, of Brookfield, died March 6, 2014.
Born on April 5, 1924, she later married Thomas J. Kassel Sr., who preceded his wife in death. Ms. Kassel worked as a receptionist at a hospital.
Ms. Kassel was the mother of Thomas (Wendy) Kassel Jr. and Timothy Kassel; the grandmother of Mark Kassel and Todd Kassel; the sister of Libby Homolka and Georgia Mae Reimus; and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass was celebrated March 10 at St. Barbara Church in Brookfield, followed by entombment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
