LA GRANGE PARK, IL, May 14, 2014 – For the second time in three years, St. Louise de Marillac School has won the Goodwill donation contest and a visit from Blackhawks great Patrick Sharp. Schools around the Chicagoland area donated items for the contest held in April. St. Louise donated 70,000 items to top the list.
“I’m overwhelmed by the generosity of our community,” said Zawisza. “We have banned together to make thousands of donations to a great cause and to top it off, the students get to meet Patrick Sharp. Everyone is so excited; it’s great to see!”
There’s no word on when Sharp will visit St. Louise due to the Blackhawks current playoff run. Until then, students and staff wait anxiously.
