The band Trance, winner of the Brookfield Battle of the Bands, won first place at the Illinois Battle of the Bands Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Illinois State Fair.
“This was a well deserved accomplishment. A great group of kids and terrific musicians,” wrote Arlene Rovner of the Brookfield Recreation Department in an email.
The five members of Trance met in 2011 as students at Park Junior High in LaGrange.
