Coming off a 22-0 season-opening win over Morton, the Riverside-Brookfield High School football team knew it would have its hands full at Nazareth on Saturday afternoon. The Roadrunners blitzed the Bulldogs with an early scoring barrage en route to a 49-6 victory.  Nazareth improved to 2-0 while RBHS fell to 1-1.

Summary: Matt Chapp scored the lone touchdown for the Bulldogs on a 95-yard kickoff return. The host Roadrunners dominated the action via their strong ground game, which featured running backs Nolan Dean and Joe Muscolino, who combined for over 220 yards and five touchdowns in the first half. Nazareth wide receiver Julian Love contributed two touchdowns.

RBHS looks to get back on track this week at St. Edward in Elgin. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
