A beautiful night was celebrated by all who ventured out to see the arrival of Santa and to kick off the holiday season in downtown Riverside on Dec. 5. As in the past, the Riverside Holiday Stroll was a huge success.

An event of this magnitude would not be possible without the support of our community. On behalf of the Riverside Chamber of Commerce, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the many businesses, community groups and volunteers for their time and financial support that contributed to the success of the 40th Annual Riverside Holiday Stroll.

I would to extend a special thanks to the village of Riverside and its staff, the Riverside Township supervisor and staff, Riverside Police Department, Riverside Auxiliary Police, Riverside Police Explorers, Riverside Fire Department and the Public Works Department for their continued support of the event. The aforementioned individuals commit their time and energy year after year, and without their efforts the Riverside Holiday Stroll would not be possible.

Another special thanks goes out to the sponsors and donors that financed many of the evening’s activities and attractions: Riverside Swim Club, Rock Fusco & Connelly LLC, State Sen. Steven Landek, State Rep. Mike Zalewski, Judge John Allegretti, Brian and Claudia Brennan, St. Mary’s Men’s Club, Strohecker Insurance, The Chew Chew, Ivins/Moravecek Funeral Home, H&W Ingredients, Wright Services, Georgopulos State Farm, Gaslight Realty, Riverside Foods, Pre-Hop Cleaners and Scout Real Estate Partners.
