Area organization NRFF Local 2714 visited the Ronald McDonald House near Loyola University Medical Center Dec. 17.
“We were given a list of the children that would be in the house on that day,” volunteer and organizer Richard Gray said in an email. “We purchased gifts for 5 boys ages ranging from infant to 13-years-old and 7 gifts for girls ages 1 to 16-years-old. We also purchased toys for the house itself.”
The group donated items ranging from household cleaning supplies to games and toys. The organization also had Santa Claus handing out presents to children who live in the house during their treatment time at LUMC.
Gray added that Costco will be donating household items to the Ronald McDonald House as well.
