Janet Mary Cunningham (nee Vaicunas), 64, of Riverside and a former longtime resident of Oak Park and River Forest, died Jan. 2, 2015.

Ms. Cunningham was born Aug. 12, 1950. She worked as the assistant to the superintendent of River Forest Elementary School District 90 and was a dedicated volunteer for the Misericordia Home.

She was the wife of the late Robert Anthony Cunningham; the mother of Matthew P. Cunningham, David J. Cunningham and Kathleen A. Cunningham; the companion of Ted Sponholtz; the sister of Kathleen Quaid; the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Helen (nee Keich) Vaicunas; the daughter-in-law of Mary (the late Bernard) Cunningham; the sister-in-law of Brian J. Cunningham, John F. (Anne) Cunningham and Patricia (Michael) Donahue.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 9 at St. Luke Church in River Forest. Interment was private.
