Daniel Paul “Fair Deal Dan” McLees, 52, of Downers Grove and formerly of Brookfield and Orlando, Florida, died Jan. 6, 2015 in the arms of his twin brother, Dennis, and in the company of his daughter, Olivia, who was at his side at the Doctors Hospital in Sarasota, Florida.

Mr. McLees grew up in Brookfield and graduated from Riverside-Brookfield High School in 1980, where both he and his brother Dennis were members of the wrestling team.

After graduating from high school, Mr. McLees served in the U.S Marines from 1980 until 1983. Two years later, he moved to Orlando where he operated McLees Auto Sales, using the moniker Fair Deal Dan, until 2008. He then moved to Downers Grove, where he lived until his death.

In addition to being known in his younger days as an excellent athlete, Mr. McLees enjoyed playing games of chance.

Mr. McLees is survived by his daughter, Olivia McLees; his granddaughter, Addalyn O’Leary; his parents, Juanita (nee Greib) and Stuart McLees Sr.; his sister, Sandra (the late Ralph) Sorenson; his brothers, Stuart McLees Jr., Michael (Leslie) McLees and Dennis McLees; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Patrick McLees and Kevin McLees, and his sister, Martha Erickson.

Visitiation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 25, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, Brookfield, 3847 Prairie Ave., Brookfield
